Yes, Brooklyn still does have it's very own baseball team (not the New York Dodgers) and of course it isn't a major team just yet. But the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Mets minor league team. Named after the famouse Coney Island Roller Coaster, the Cyclone, the Brooklyn Cyclones which play at Keyspan Park are always a good time to see. The team proved to be so popular since their debut in Brooklyn in 2001 that additional seats were added to the Keyspan ballpark just three weeks after it's initial opening.
And of course they too have a long standing New York rivalry with their Yankee counterparts, the Staten Island Yankees!
