No Fee Apartment Rental Tip: The difference between a traditional renter and a non-traditional renter
Renting an apartment is never an easy process even if you have a ton of money in the bank and have excellent credit. Nonetheless if you are a traditional renter you will have a much easier time finding and renting a no fee apartment than if you are a non-traditional renter.
Traditional renters typically have stable employment in a field that many people are familiar with and earn an annual salary which meets the financial requirements that the landlord wants for the apartment. A traditional renters credit is clean and does not have any history of late payment, chargebacks, disputes, or litigation. These renters typically have a better choice of apartments because they are very desirable tenants.
Non traditional renters are renters who although may work just as hard or many times even harden than their traditional couterparts. However they are not the typical nine to five employees. They are often times paid in cash and have undocumented income. Other times they may have unstable employment. For example, an actor may make a lot of money while they are filming a project, they may have periods of time where they do not have earnings. Often times a non-traditional renter will be asked to give extra security deposit or to make advance payment on a few months rent.
