Can I have roommates live in my apartment that aren't listed on the lease?

The short answer is yes.  However, if your roommate has agreed to pay a portion of the living expenses, this is
only an agreement between you and that person.  You are obligated to make timely rent payments to the landlord
in accordance with the original lease agreement regardless of whether or not your roommate has paid their
agreed upon portion that month.  The person(s) and guarantor(s) who are listed on the lease itself are the ones
who are legally responsible for ensuring that the monthly rent is paid.

Oftentimes roommates will create a written agreement amongst themselves which details what portion of the
apartment expenses each person will be responsible for.
