So your new to the Big Apple, one of the first things you're going to want to do is become acclaimated with the subway system. First off, pick up a subway map at any station (they're free) or you can go the the Mta's website for a more interactive version. Key things to know when looking at the subway map:
- The solid circles are the local stops, the non-solid circles are the
express stops (express trains only stop at they're marked non -solid cirle stops
- Not all trains run at all hours, so it's best to check the Mta's website of
better yet (and with a friendlier interface) check hopstop.com
It won't take long before you're a pro at the subway, even giving others the best directions!
