NoFeeRentalByOwner.com Subway Etiquette Guide:
It's true what your mother told you: it's probably best not to make too much eye contact when you're on the subway. It can be a crowded place filled with people who are under stress so it's best to MYOB (mind your own business). All of the other basic stuff applies in NY: don't take up more then one seat, gladly give your seat up to the elderly, pregnant, or disabled. Have your metrocard ready for swiping before you reach the turnstile (or you may get trampled by people trying to get the last train out of town).
