Ever pass by that one supermarket downtown that just
doesn't seem to fit the persona of the city.  Yes, I'm talking
about Pathmark.  It's big, cheap, and even has a parking lot
which is free for customers who shop there.  The one on
Cherry Street near the East River - whether you've seen it or
not while flying by (or crawling by) on the FDR Drive - it's
there...and it is a little but of a misfit in a city of cramped
overpriced supermarkets that'd you'd never get a parking
spot in front of let alone be able to use a free parking lot.

Well all good things must come to an end and the rumor is
that Donald Trump has bought the property and not to our
surprise, plans to put up a couple of his larger than life high
rise buildings.
